The series as a whole is not for charity, it's just for fun and for the honour of potentially being the first to do something as ridiculous as this. Also, if I remember correctly he mentions somewhere that he only recently quit his job to youtube fulltime (ffs people, do not do this!), and he also has been asking for help in mainland Europe for a new project he is planning.
