I recommend nabbing a 2001 over the high pinion 00 and 99's if you can, although 2001 did not use a distributor cap if you like being hands on (otherwise it's better in just about every way...)
I had a 2 inch lift and a truetrac limited slip in the rear of mine (worked so well I rarely used 4x4 once it was in)
But yea, now if I go /out/ for the day I take one of many vehicles, usually my 70 F100. Although I do love the 61 Corvair Lakewood too :3
