Also looks like you spent a lot of time on the structure, I never bother but I wouldn't know if that helps especially. And personally I clear the area right around the fire because it makes me more comfortable, but I'm sure it's fine. The people saying that this is going to burn the forest down either live in a really dry area or are clueless.
