For some context, I grew up hunting--my dad always used to take me on long trips for deer and grouse--but never went out by myself after starting high school and college. Now that I'm married and living in the U.S. full-time, I'm trying to re-learn everything I'd been taught when I was younger. Still feel woefully unprepared, but I'm getting there, lol.
So I don't have anything too fancy, though it was enough to do what I wanted to do last time. Planning to invest more in a first-aid kit and maybe a GPS+communications unit--would be nice to be able to check in with my wife every so often.
