Just tradition?Darker hulls require a lot more maintenance in terms of oxidization removing, colour restoring, and waxing due to the paint/gelcoat fading (pic related). It doesn't show up as much (or at all) on white boats. I think that's the main reason most people opt for a white or light-colored hull.
