I am going on a week long backpacking trip through southern Ohio at the end of the month. I need to get some cookware to take with me. I don't want to spend too much so titanium is out. I am looking at the GSI Halulite Kettle and the MSR StowAway pot. The StowAway pot looks like it is better suited for cooking meals than the Kettle. Though for boiling water and not wanting to spill hot water all over the place, the kettle looks like the better buy.
Anyone with experience on either or both of these? How would it be to fry up some fish in the kettle? Make stew? How would it be to boil water with the pot and pour over a drip coffee maker or into a nalgene bottle?
Thanks /out/
