I have *photo* in both leather and suede and they are fine for basic outdoor stuff, I hunt in them in snow and they are comfortable, no Irish setter but they get the job done
All 6-inch timberlands like the one in OP's photo are absolutely not for hiking and are not really even comfortable for walking long distances
I would either recommend *photo* or their 'valor' line for outdoors but really your better off getting something else because its cheaper
