I'm a college student, and can only afford one decent handgun for all purposes from home defense to range day to plinking to camping, and I wanted a semi-auto service pistol because I like the aesthetics and it fits all of those varied and wildly different purposes better than a wheel gun would. I'd love to get a nice camping .38 (among lots of other things) when I can afford it though.
