At this point there might as well not be a trail since the entire length was covered in snow and we were the fist ones to make it up this far this season. Early in the day we some how wound up on the wrong side of a big stream and almost called it at that point. But some one noticed a small carin about midway up the snow field we were on, our only indication of the trail. With some assurance we were finally on the right track we decided to press on.
