I was hiking in Carpathian Mountains during winter with my sister. We set on about 10 miles of marked ridge trail. All time in the forest, snow ankles deep. It was few days hike so we had semi-heavy backpack. It started snowing heavily in the mid day and it wasn't really where to retreat so we pushed on. When the night fell snow was already knee deep, needless to say we was taking turns to blaze the trail. We get lost soon after. Luckily it was about -15°C (5°F) so not too cold, we were dressed properly, had enough food and some water. We just wandered around trying to get down from the mountain finding water along way. About 1 am I was too tired to walk. And we stopped.
Let's have a little suspense, guess what happen to us next.
