So I took my 10' 7wt St Croix Imperial, stuck my Musky reel on it, tried it out, and sure as shit, it's perfect for the musky on our river (northern Wi). Cut the little stub of a butt off the grip, turned a new handle out of pearwood, and... realized I don't like the color, so I'm thinking I should just use that one on my drill press, and make another one out of something lighter. & maybe an inch longer too.
