I talked to my second cousin about climbing recently. He's in his 50s and did a lot of climbing in Yosemite in the 80s. Said Toulumne was his version of heaven. He quit climbing altogether after his long-tern belay partner dropped him and he lost trust.
He said he's been having dreams about climbing though and we made plans to climb together at Smith later this month, along with my uncle who is 60 and has no experience. We're going up a 3-pitch 5.4, Round River. Pic related. It's gonna be great I hope.
