From experiance I would say consistency matters more then actual thickness along as it is withing like 1-3cm wet
I like it a little on the thicker side so I just leave it dehydrating a little longer, I feel it gives me a better flsvor balance between the marinade and the natural meat flavors. I'm aiming more for a bubble gum esperisnce then chios if you know
