I bought one back when it first came out like 6 years ago and used if extensively for touring and just hauling shit day to day.
You can use panier bags on the side and put bigger stuff like your tent on top. Pair it with a Bikepackung saddle bag and a big isn't toptube bag for snacks and a Powerbank for Navigation und you have a beyond solid touring setup.
If you bike doesn't have fork mounts for a front reck you can just use p clamps, feels sketchy at first but they work well.
Btw, imo the perfect budget touring bike is a 90s MTB with some 2.2 x tires slapped on. They often have fork mounts and are super capable and super super cheap.
