Out of Grand Teton national park was where I made my longest day. I woke up early, biked up the 3000 foot climb to Togwotee pass, and then enjoyed going downhill with a tailwind for the rest of the day. Riding from 5:30 AM to 7:30 PM netted me 141 miles.
I ended up in Lander, where camping was allowed in the city park. There was an orchestra playing classical music in the park while I was setting up my tent, which was just the cherry on top of an amazing day.
In this area, camping actually was a bit of an issue. Once I got out of the national forest adjacent to the park, the road was surrounded by farmland. There were a couple of places in an Indian reservation I could have camped, but the day was young when I passed them, so I elected to press onwards.
