I have the AA version of pic related I bought for reservist stuff in 2015/16 and like it. But it's not bright compared to alternatives from the opaque top (you can remove the top and hang upside down for an area light but it's painful to look directly at). Worth mentioning is it floats and is also a good choice for white/red low-light. Decent if you have to have some light discipline or are also autistic and keep your stuff AA and have a solar panel that uses AA as storage / charges AA
