>>83100oh OP pick me!
So i recently made this outta canvas for a friend for his sawn off shotgun (crazy handloads, hurray!)
Anyways, it was a Mad Max style leg holster, with a flap. So walking down the trail, people can't see the shot gun, they just see a canvas pouch attached to his leg.
Think your military leg holster, except longer.
Now i don't know how well this will work for you, but it works excellent for the shotgun.
I will explain as best I can
The holster attaches to the thigh with two belts, with a strap traveling from the top to attach to his pants belt. the holster itself is big enough to fit a gun this size (see pic, but with an extra inch or two for legality), with a flap that is double snapped to cover the handle. The flap has a pouch attached to the inside that holds 2 extra shells.
It works and looks good, and isn't blatantly obvious he is carrying a shotgun when his is hiking (it also attaches to his pack very well, upside down, for quick access). We tossed a few patches onto it, a few BSA patches and an ironman marathon patch, and it looks like he just has like, tent poles, or something.
google mad maxes holster, and that is wear it lays on his leg.
