>>1686560>it's not the type of plastic that's actively harmful, right? There's a shit load of debate about that. You know those "BPA-free" labels? Well, yeah they removed the BPA from them, but replaced them with another type of plasticizer. The main problem with that is that BPA was well-studied, but the new plasticizers were not as yet well-studied. Who knows what they will find, though some have been and have been found to be just as bad, but more studies are needed for best results. Then there's the "microplastic" issue. Thus far, no one has said, "microplastics improve your health," so if you can, try to stay away from them. Though, I've read tons of studies that show microplastics are not good for you or the environment as a whole; more studies are needed.
Use google scholar
https://scholar.google.com/ and try to look up some studies yourself. Most of the time I try to list things to post here the anti-spam filter triggers. Just do general searches like this,
microplastic health
plastic health
plastic farming
microplastic farming
From there you can branch out with info you find in related articles and draw your own conclusions. Meta studies are nice because they can sorta sum up and link you to dozens to hundreds of other studies on the subject and give you a general consensus.
