I have recently been going /out/ with my GF on backpacking trips that only really last a weekend.
first time was at Ohio Pyle on the first 6 miles of the trail that leads to lural highlands park. Tough 6 miles pretty much up hill or down hill the whole way but the little village of a shelter campsite they have is really pleasant and a steal for 14$. Pic related thats me LARPing and also because i'm poor and thought a molle 2 bag would be a quality backpacking bag for cheap.
Second time was up in moraine state park. this wasn't as amazing as the first time (no fireplace at the shelter to keep us warm at night), but this was still fun. Rained a lot the second day and we got soaked . my military boots got soaked might consider a pair of expensive solomons as a replacement.
Also my girlfriend wants us to get water proof pants any suggestions /out/ ?
>>2081172Also friendly advice when making the jump to more than 2 miles , is cut down on extra outdoor clothes besides underware and socks you cut down on a ton of weight.
