>>2120227thanks for the info. i asked because i am the guy embarking on growing his own. originally i wanted to roll cigars, but after learning to enjoy a pipe (
>>2111999 >>2113289), i was wondering if what i planted would make a nice pipe blend. pic related a couple weeks ago. this is my seed list, with notes for the seeds that came from a "cigar blend" variety pack thing, all from northwood:
Tennessee 90 LC tobacco
Ohio Dutch tobacco
sacred cornplanter tobacco
Virginia gold tobacco
Pennsylvania red tobacco (cigar blend)
Wisconsin 901 tobacco (cigar blend)
Connecticut broadleaf tobacco (cigar blend)
i'm in tennessee, and I think 90 LC is an approximation for what the old timers used to grow on the hill i live on. i also picked up the sacred cornplanter just in case i ever wanted something with a bit more of a hit to it. so yeah i guess i'm wondering what of these would make good blends?
i could always change varieties next year. i think 7 is my max for assortment.
