>>125136I've tried and tested the 'dry yeast in jelly'-method last year and it worked out great for me. I put it in an empty butter tub with some holes punched in it and placed it near the nest. The ants supposedly die after eating the jelly because of the yeast fermenting in their bodies. Any sugary substance can substitute the jelly.
This year I'm growing some mint next to a spot with a recurring ant colony. They should dislike that enough to leave according to google. It seems to be working, but the weather conditions have been far from optimal for ants. So I'm not considering it an effective method just yet.
