>>484904I'm actually from metro Atlanta and am about to embark on a road trip as well. Unfortunately I don't know the area you're going very well. I do know Ohio has some pretty places and supposedly pretty solid fishing.
As for what to put in your car.... What I did was grab beef jerky, some chunky soups, granola, oatmeal, cereal, lots of water, nuts (sunflower, edamame, almonds), corned beef hash, ramen noodles, etc. Not sure how much cooking you want to do, but you could always try your hand at some fishing and get your dinner that way.
Also, bring some emergency supplies as well. Bring a quart of oil, make sure you have a car jack and that your spare tire is in good condition. Maybe something reflective if you break down or something. And just make sure your car is good to go with the fluids, tire pressure, etc.
Happy trails and enjoy the trip man! There are few things better than being out on the road with just a very general plan and some good music.
>>485303Another 678 person, very cool. I'm actually going to Utah as well. The Moab Desert is where I want to spend a lot of time. There was actually a fantastic thread a while back with some pictures and some stories of a guy who did some extended hikes with his buddies in the Moab.
Here is my road trip map if you're interested. Don't want to hijack your thread though. Safe travels man!
