It may not be a "big game" cartridge, but i think the caliber need are greatly exaggerated. I've seen videos of people hunting brown bears with 9mm pistols, and hogs with .2LR. So i'm pretty sure you can kill and animal with 300AAC. The ballistics aren't the best, but most game is taken at 50-100m anyway so it doesn't matter. Your options are:
