I chopped the carp up into pieces to use as bait, but that proved to be a lot more difficult than I was thinking it was going to be. Initially I was trying to cut the carp into sections with the bone in the middle (rather than normal filet cuts), but after I got the head off i gave up on that idea and just cut off the side filets and tail. My hope is I won't need to catch any more fish for gar or catfish bait for a long time since I froze all the chunks of meat.
