For Day 3 of the Sunflower and Corn plants, I seem to now have a bit of a problem.. 3 of the 4 corn plants (Burpee Triple Crown XP Yellow) have either surfaced or their giant taproots have already outgrown the peat pellet and are already busting out of the fabric! I had to use a razor to cut the fabric in some parts so it didn't choke or cut the roots. Same with the Sunflower which has its taproot showing and has almost pushed out the seed enclosure with its two seed leaves. These are obviously too large to be grown inside of an indoor greenhouse and I did this because I didn't want the birds or squirrels eating the seedlings so I need to immediately put them into 4" jiffy pots and transplant them right away because they are said to grow anywhere between 8 to 14 feet tall and the taproot is important so its better for it to grow as best as possible now. I'm hoping the ground soil isn't too strong for them though...
