I walk a block to go fish, and the only time I need to buy new gear is when I have fish swallow my hooks, or get snagged out at the Skyway Pier in St Pete, then I normally will buy some new hooks and sinkers. Bass fishing is boring I like to cast my pole out and sit down and just enjoy the outdoors and listen to nature and wait on a fish to come along and take my bait.
You guys go out and cast, cast, cast, for hours some times and forget the real reason to be outdoors is to enjoy the freedom of being with nature and just getting away from the house for a bit. But hey man! if your thing is casting out and bringing the lure back in so be it! I did that for a while then I focused more on just sitting and relaxing and enjoying another day on this planet.
