I bought it having read and understood the reviews - the split rings are bad.
I then proceeded to tie it on in excitement forgetting all about the split ring issue, and proceeded to hook into what was without a doubt my PB pike.
Lost the fish after a long battle and got my lure back sans hook with one split ring bent open and dangling.
Weirdly: the Rapala Xrap of the same size (12 cm) has a much beefier hook and ring. So I tried to swap them out and the split rings dont fit on the baits mounting point. So what do?
I've been looking at some egg shaped split rings, and possibly titanium split rings might be strong enough at a light enough gauge to fit into the ring on the bait.
Pike fishing season is only a month and a half away gotta order something now.
