Seriously? Fucking hoplophobes would rather commit misdemeanors/felonies and burn down the damn forest than admit that maybe carrying a gun isn't all that bad.
And just because you have a gun, does not in any way mean that you HAVE to use it. You can still make yourself look big, use a firm voice, use spray, and whatever else you want, and then have the gun as backup.

I've walked away from car accidents without a seatbelt, and I've ridden a motorcycle without a helmet, but that doesn't nullify their importance. Just because I got lucky once doesn't mean I always will.
