Cons are that if it's a multiuse trail you'll run into the occasional biker, but most are familiar with trail etiquette. which is another con, if it is a popular trail and we assume 25% of people don't know that trail etiquette exists, then youre in for an annoying time, but if you find more remote trails at the same percentage, then you'll run into far less of that. another con is that usually you'l have to drive out to a trail, wheras running you can just walk out the front door or go to a treadmill.
I actually want to get into fastpacking, which seems meme-ish, but I do a shitton of backpacking, and it seems like a neat way to do that, while also seeing more shit, or going further into the wilderness
