Yesterday i got bored so i packed an ultralite kit and took my bike up into the mountains.
I biked for about an hour then i ducked off the road into the mountains.
I hopped a fence and stashed my bike in the trees, then hiked about an hour up the mountain and made a hidden campsite (it was illegal to even be there, let alone camp or light a fire). In fact it was so well hidden that i went for a walk and it took me 30 minutes to find it again.
I dug a 3 foot deep dakota pit and made my fire, the flames barely reached over the top.
I read the first 30 or so pages of the stranger, had a cigar, and then went to bed with this view.
I woke up and biked home.
Because i was biking i didnt bring a sleeping bag or tent, just knife, shovel, hatchet, tarp, serape, food, and some misc.
The serape is great because you can wear it and then sleep in it.
Colorado is gr8. You can get into complete wilderness on one side of the mountains, and get this view on the other.
