I fought that cunt for what felt like 10mins, so it was probably more like 5mins. I had my drag maxed (9lbs) and he still ran every fucking where.
When I finally landed him in the grass I noticed the hook was just in his lip so I thought ezpz hook removal. As I walked over to grab him he started thrashing, got loose, and flopped to the water to escape.
So yeah I didn't get a picture, but I still landed his ass.
Here's my line after he got away. I think my palomar knot slipped as opposed to line breaking since I had 10lb 832 braid.
I guess I need to start tying a overhand knot on the tag end.
