If someone had twice the dosh and needed a lightweight, large-capacity pack, there are lighter options out there, but if someone only has limited funds, and their sleeping bag is a big winter synthetic bag, I can see the 75 liter capacity as coming in handy. We always need to remember that not everybody who goes backpacking is an ultralight backpacker. Think: hunters who might lug a tree stand into the woods at the beginning of a weekend, and then lug a ton of elk meat out of the woods at the end of the weekend. The capacity and support would be very useful to them.
