>>2603716I did some faht bags a few times when I first started, but used the typical big ziplock(I think its half a gallon) because those damn 2gal bags are $10 for only 10 bags where I'm from. Just couldn't bring myself pay for that ripoff lol. But my half gal bag grows did very well, for me it was a pita fumbling with the bags during harvest and was too messy for my tastes so I just stuck to shoeboxes at the time.
>growkitsA short while after I posted that I think I found the answer, I read by one poster how hell make a tray and put that in a mono with water at the bottom (water tub). Apparently pans really like lots of water so I guess the reason the growkits are like that is 2-fold. 1 being the reason you mention and the second being that it creates a more humid environment.
And that sucks you got ripped off, I live where its relaxed so I didn't have any trouble getting spores.
>>2603734Yeah yeti is a curveball for sure. From what I gathered by reading others experiences with yeti is that it seems it wasn't really stabilized from the start and that's why lots of people get revert grows or lot of varying phenos, grow patterns etc. The yeti I got and the first plate I spawned just looked like a regular tiny tat, then after a bunch more tries of different plates I finally got one that resembled lots of the traits of yeti except for the longer stipe(currently chasing this pheno now)
I was also able to get another really sick revert pheno from those swab plates that which has the long stipe has the thick crinkle cap but it isn't albino, I posted a sample of that here
>>2600180Picrel is those yeti peanuts I mentioned(pic was a few days before the caps flowered out but they didn't get much bigger then what you see there). I actually got some in a mono finishing up in a day or 2 which I'll post so that you can see the difference
