Went outside a couple hours ago to throw out some trash and one of my hens was dicking about despite it being 5am and still dark. It's 31 and frosting over so I decided to give her some respite. Brought her inside and fed her some mealworms. She was raised inside a few months back and I raise mealworms for treats and such since it is so easy. Now she is laying in bed with me. She has probably been my favorite hen I've had in the three years I have had chickens. I'll put her outside soon as the sun will be coming up.
