Seriously though. Between the legitimately worrying prospect of having to cut down on your lifestyle, all together with forcing the entire rest of the world to do the same, and the massive fracturing of society, not that such a thing as a global society exists in the first place, it is simply impossible to even make a critical mass of people ACCEPT the facts on global warming, let alone act. Even those who purportedly accept it (because it makes for virtual signalling points in their sociopolitical environment) delude themselves that some new technology will fix everything if they just cut down a teeny tiny bit.
