As for tablet stoves, I recognize their simplicity and practicality but I just dislike the smell and residue they produce. Good for your emergency kit, though.
>>956289True, I went on a snow camping/product demo trip when I was an /out/fitter and got to play around with a Jetboil Sol before they hit the shelves (the big one with the inverted canister) holy crap that thing is fast. If I were doing a group trip I'd definitely bring one of those along.
