To any new Windsurfers or Sailers, before you get out, the most important thing to learn is really how the wind works! It won't just push you along, you gotta be one with it!
>>1861733Hey Dude! I would advise against it unless you're an experienced windsurfer and have a boat with you, following you along! There are a lot of boats passing through that pass, and rarely can they see you on the water until it's too late! I've heard a lot of horror stories about peoples going through the channel and getting run over by by heavy boats, while they're stuck out there because the wind momentarily dies!
Britain is great for windsurfing. If ya wanna have a blast, just take a car and go up the country for a couple days to the coast, you can get some real good waves, and have much more fun surfing off a beach than you would crossing a busy channel!
