You've all been great in answering my questions about rods and reels over the last few days, so thanks.
Now could you help me put together a list of tackle I should buy for the fishing I'll be doing? Want a pretty comprehensive kit that's still small enough to cram into a saddle bag.
Here's a chart I threw together of the fish found in lakes in the areas I'll be fishing in, published by the state game and fish dept. Focus on the stuff in the "Summer Months" area for now as we're getting into the hottest parts of the year where I'll be traveling North to cooler weather.
If you don't want to look at the chart, its mostly various trout species, crappie, sunfish, and some large mouth bass and channel catfish.
>Mostly trout (rainbow, brown, apache, brook, cutthroat)
>Lots of crappie, sunfish, some yellow perch.
>A good amount of bass (mostly large mouth, some small mouth)
>Occasional channel catfish, walleye, northern pike.
I've got a light rod that will be wearing a 20-25 size reel and 6-10lb braid, and an ultra light that will be wearing lighter braid probably. I assume I'll probably be fucked if I hook a catfish or pike, so I'm not too worried about that.
