Just got fancy planer boards. Just in time for me to use them like thrice, once unsuccessfully for musky probably, then unsuccessfully on a great lake in a 14" boat for kings, and if I don't drown or wreck my boat on the former, then later in December before the deep lakes feeze...unsuccessfully for lakers. Next on my list of useless stuff to waste my money on is another, longer 13'6" centerpin rod. Will it catch me fish? Probably, but will it make a difference or be as good as I expect new gear to be? Nope.
