1st. TOPS sells $160 knives, when you can get into semi-customs at that price range. You can buy lt wright at that price point, or something similar, that TOPS just can't compete with.
2nd. you can do a lot better than $12. Sure - if you are a sunday camper, a 12 dollar mora, and never use it for anything other than slicing bread and cheese anyway.
But once you get something really good, you'll see the difference.
