Sections for bike, pack, me (gear), truck (for the rare times I ever drive the truck and unload to ride), and trailer/overnight.
One, I know I have everything. I'm not going to forget my toolkit and find myself stuck somewhere.
Two, when I switch gears and go from riding the bike every weekend to riding teh sled every weekend, it makes that transition a lot easier. I can go through that list and build my pack up again, without worrying that I'm leaving something behind.
