>>2606488Summer sucks. Honestly fishing from shore with the warm water, you’re not going to get the fish you can see most od the time. You need to find those drop offs near some weeds and fish those like 30min before sunset, and if it’s a little earlier, stay deep with something smaller on a Texas rig and bounce it along the bottom slowly.
Going out at noon on a July day really sucks. Also you need to find spots that aren’t overfished.
If anything, get yourself some cichlids. They run along the shore. Some 1/16oz or 1/8oz jigheads or underspins with small <2” rubber minnows or curly tail grubs like the little Gulp baits.
