>>1498921Yeah that's the problem I've had too in previous years, strawberries that ripen too quickly too small in 35°C weather, and already start fermenting on the plant.
The ones I've planted now are all clones from a volunteer that probably some bird pooped out on a wall, but even despite the very dry conditions the plant established itself very well over the years and produced huge and tasty fruits - maybe I "discovered" a whole new variety. So I'm testing them now on a slightly larger scale, maybe I discovered something for dry/hot conditions! Here a pic of the "mother plant" in its initial habitat, as you can see it's a very dry wall, but she's been thriving there for 3 years now, delivering fruit up until December despite our overall cool and cloudy oceanic climate
