>>1178536Seriously, if you want a boot that will stay dry for a long time you need to get something with a SINGLE PIECE LEATHER UPPER. Seams are literally there just so they can make the boots using smaller pieces of scrap leather and cut costs, if you are spending $200+ on a pair of boots there is absolutely zero reasons it should have seams. Unless you are climbing some serious mountains, in which case you'd want plastics or some fancy $500 mountaineering boots with better insulation, treated leather is the most durable, waterproof, warm, and just all around best boot material you can find. It's very cheap if you are buying used. If you are trying to go ultralight, don't even get a boot. Get a pair of light, breathable trail runners that offer good support. Pic related is a classic.
