I read that you don't need to make/get anything to contain compost, as it won't smell unless things are off. My spouse is insistent that we make/get something to contain it and that it would be better that way. It wouldn't get rummaged by animals, taken by the wind, would be easier to manage. I disagree, but he's got marginally more experience with this than I do. I think we've come to a compromise where I'll make something out of pallets (he thinks it'll be too big of a container so wants to use half pallets).
I'd appreciate any and all discourse on this. I really want to just throw my scraps in pic related and not create more fuss, but I think he's going to have a stink about it.
