Sup my bird brethren, I just got the National Geographic Birding Essentials. It has a Snowy Owl on the cover so you know it's good.
Picked it up last week at the library, got 80 pages in and was so impressed I got it on Amazon for 9 bucks tonight. I've been looking at birds for 2 years and seen a couple hundred and I still learned so damn much already from this book. I never properly learned about the wing structure and migration or age/location variations and this book covers it with nice pictures.
>inb4 shillNope, just thought I'd let you guys know, especially if you're new and need some intro knowledge, this is a good one. I can't wait to go out and look for gulls before they disappear now that I know how to ID them better by their wing and body color patterns.
>>1224383I'm pretty jelly. How close did they let you get? Or is that your picture? If so then damn, that's really cool.
