>>1442046Here's one I made of Hazel. It developed compression cracks in a couple of places, only time that's happened to me. I tried to cut them out and add in new wood but ultimately I had to thin the whole limbs and add full-length slats of juniper on the belly. I never became happy with it in the end and it now collects dust in the same corner as the asymmetrical one. The black stuff on the limbs are just leather rings I used to cover up my fixes and hide the point where the rawhide ends.
I must say the bow looks amazing from this angle though it's not impressive irl.
Coppicing? Doesn't that just produce finger-thin sticks? You intend to make bundlebows?
