>>2534483>Time to stop buying shit and start practicing way more. You're doing the boomer panic pack buyingI've practically stopped buying before I've started to made those threads. I just polish kits up while I focus on BIG THINGS like physical fitness, bug-out-car and ultimately swapping city flat for a house in low density area. I have convinced my wife for it, wasn't easy as she loves city life and people for some reason. After consideration those are more important than survival practice. I'm nor panic anything, quitting job to focus on my survival skills would be panic move.
I have varying experience, and I've tested myself in emergencies, I know how I react. See this post:

Am I rusty with skills? Certainly but if I did something years ago it's way better than just watching tutorial on YT, I'm not overconfident I can do it effortlessy but muscle memory will kick in.
My skills include:
>survival and bushcraft skills, hundreds of nights spent by the fire under a tarp. Might be my strongest suit>few first aid with courses, this one I'm keeping up to date, teach myself constantly>shot a lot of different calibers of guns, civilian and military, even 40mm granade launcher>trained judo>experienced with guard dogs>ropework and rock climbing>killed and butchered fish & fowl>worked in construcion, and in workshop. I can repair anything at house from electricity, plumbing to disasembling and assembling a bike and computer and have all tools for it>can work people, senior salesman, learning investingMy plan is as the kids are growing start gradually doing old skills. We had first campfires last year, this year it's going to be tent camping, next year maybe we'll build a shelter in a forest. When they got bigger and be able to walk half a day mountain hiking, then taking them abroad so they got the feel not being on our soil.
Picrel, that's teenage me
