>>1064834It can really be amazing as long as you're comfy. Good prepwork is the key! Make sure you have the right stuff to *actually* be warm, especially your sleeping arrangments. Going out nice and early, or even a day ahead of time just to collect and pile firewood during daylight is a good idea too. Also having a way to rig up a tarp in case it actually snows can make a huge difference.
Finally, an oil lantern or a candle lantern on a nearby tree or next to your tent magnifies of comfies in the snow as well. If it's really cold oil won't burn well, gas won't burn at all, but candles will burn great.
