It will be difficult to have access to showers / amenities in these areas unless your station has showers for end of shift.
No need to live out of a Patrol or Landcruiser unless your on a camp grounds and going bush / dirt track. A hiace stealth van would be more than appropriate for sleeping and commuting back to Sydney.
In your first year your gonna meet new people and make new friends from work and the area that you will wanna drink ,fuck or relax with (paramedic stressful job) Having a vehicle parked and hiding in an industrial will impede those opportunities.
